My first experience in event planning/coordinating was at Lakota Restaurant in Park City (now called Butcher's), Utah during Sundance, well over a decade ago. Since then, I have put together, booked, and/or planned more events than can be mentioned, here. Additionally, with exception to one year - in one form or another, I have been involved in planning/coordinating/booking events that have taken place on Historic Main Street - during The Sundance Film Festival over the past decade, as well.
From private events at Lakota Restaurant (now called Butcher's), to acting General Manager at Harry O's (now called Park City Live) for a couple of those years, to management of the band Andy Frasco & the UN - in which we not only sold out his events the first year (2011) that he showcased during Sundance at The Spur, but also managed to get a line out the door with an hour-long wait to get in......
During the time in which I managed Andy Frasco & the UN (2009 - 2011), I booked and promoted many events that eventually led to his showcasing during Sundance for Access Film Music at The Spur, as well as a tour in Europe, and a showcase at HATCHfest, as well as many other showcase events.
During the 2011 Uncle Uncanny's Summer Sessions, acting as the sole VIP Host for the event that year, all available lodging for the festival weekend, successfully sold out.
I am also host to the annual event in Salt Lake City at Bar Deluxe, called Faux New Year's Eve™, which in it's second year running, has almost hit capacity, both years.
